Otunba Mrs H.F. ADEPOJU ALEBIOSU was born in Lagos seven decades ago to Late Otunba & Omo-Oba Mrs Olaitan Ogunekun, who were from the Amesofe ruling house of Idofe, one of the three royal houses in Ijebu Ife.

Otunba Mrs. Alebiosu grew up in the Brazilian Quarters of Lagos and had her primary and secondary education in Lagos. She attended Christ Church Cathedral School, Lagos and New Era Girls Secondary School in Surulere.

She worked briefly in the Lagos State Ministry of Finance as a Data Processing Officer, then later travelled to the UK. On her return, with a Diploma in Business Administration, she went into private business dealing in Oil and Gas till date.

A successful trader and business woman, she has been honoured with titles including – Otunba Adefugba of Ijebu Ife in 1976 by the late Kabiyesi Amesofe, Oba Adebambo Oyenuga, Ajalorun of Ijebu Ife. Oba Oyenuga also happened to be her paternal grandmother’s nephew.

In 1989, Mrs H. F. Alebiosu became an Otunba of the Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland by His Royal Majesty, Kabiyesi Oba Dr. S. K. Adetona (Ogbagba Agbatewole), and was subsequently installed as Otunba Adefugba of Ijebu in January 1990.

Otunba H. F. Alebiosu is also the Mogajia of Itun Nla Central Mosque, Ijasi Quarters in Ijebu Ode, and the Mogajia Obinrin of Ijebu Ode Central Mosque. She is also the Matron of several clubs and groups within Ijebu and Lagos State.

Otunba H. F. Adepoju Alebiosu is happily married to Otunba Bushura Adedeji Alebiosu. A marriage of over five decades, blessed with successful and wonderful children, some of whom have been honoured with titles of Otunbas too.
