OTUNBA OBALOJA OF IJEBU
Otunba Ayodeji Osibogun was born on November 9, 1955 at Catholic Mission Hospital, Lagos. Otunba Ayodeji Osibogun’s grandfather was the proprietor and first principal of famous Saviour High School, Vaughan Lane, Aroloya, Lagos and Otubu Memorial School, Ijebu –Ode.
Otunba Ayodeji Osibogun’s mother, Chief Mrs Olayinka Abiodun, is the daughter of the late Rufus Alexander Adekunle Wright; she is the granddaughter of the Late Madam Ibiyemi Oyelewo, the daughter of Oba Tunwase of Awujale Ijebu land. Otunba Ayodeji Osibogun has a solid impeccable royal and autocratic background and decades of his family contribution to the growth and development of Ijebuland.
He started his educational career at United Missionary Primary School and finished up at I.C.C practicing School, Oke Bola, Ibadan. He later attended Comprehensive High School, Aiyetoro in Ogun State. He completed his Higher School Certificate in both Comprehensive High School and Olivet Baptist High School, Oyo where he distinguished himself as a top state athlete and a leader of men ending up as the Labor Prefect at Comprehensive High School, Aiyetoro.
He continued his education with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Arts from the prestigious University of Ibadan where he played leading roles in major drama presentations. Otunba Ayodeji Osibogun continued his innovative and pace setting achievement during his NYSC service year by founding the Kwara state NYSC Drama Troupe in 1978. In 1979 with a burning desire to serve his home state and contribute to its growth he joined the services of Ogun State Civil Service at the nation’s model station O.G.B.C.
Young, vibrant, full of ideas and energy, Otunba Ayodeji Osibogun served as Part-Time Lecturer at the then Ogun State Polytechnic in the Mass Communication and the Civil and Electrical Engineering department from 1980-1982.
One remarkable achievement in his innovative career was the establishment of famous experimental Radio Station O.G.B.C II that was later adopted in the Broadcast industry in the 80’s. He was thereafter seconded to be part of the foundation staff of O.G.T.V (PEOPLE TELLY) by the dynamic civil service of Ogun state.
Ever since his departure from civil service Otunba Ayodeji Osibogun has gone on to prove himself in the business world by starting from humble beginning as a cleaner and painter and later establishing his own company Creazoni Nigeria Limited in 1986, a little acorn that sprung Interior & Exterior Decoration divisions, Supplies divisions, Communications and a Motor division. Today he is Nigeria’s largest supplier of broadcast and production equipment. He is a Director at SET (Secure Electronic Technology) Plc
Otunba Ayodeji Osibogun is a member of many clubs and Associations including; Recreation Club, Abuja Golf Club, Ibadan Polo Club, Sliver knights to mention a few. He is a trustee at Ibadan Golf Club and also patron of many organizations such as: Sport Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN OYO STATE), Shooting Stars Football Club, Youth Forum Chapel of Association.
Otunba Ayodeji Osibogun is also the: Giwa Egbe Bobagbimo, Akile Ijebuland, Otunba Obaloja of Ijebuland, Convener and Vice President of Yoruba Koya, Convener of Yoruba Leadership and Peace Initiative. He is also the Chairman and member Board of Directors of the following companies: Creazoni Nigeria Limited, Space FM 90.1, Afro Space Tv, African Content Warehouse, Creazoni Securities, WTS Broadcast.
Otunba Ayodeji Osibogun is married to Yeye Otunba Debola Osibogun, his childhood heartthrob and they are blessed with children, grandchildren.
